Clear plan. Personal attention. Spanish you can use. Nosara Spanish Institute offers structured Spanish learning in Playa Guiones, Nosara, on Costa Rica’s Pacific coast. Our campus is approximately 300 metres from the Playa Guiones beach entrance, making it easy to combine focused study with time by the ocean and everyday life in Nosara. Our small group classes average 2–4 students, with a maximum of 6. Native Spanish-speaking teachers help students build confidence through practical communication, supported by clear grammar and vocabulary instruction. Lessons develop speaking, listening, reading and writing, with examples and conversations connected to real situations in Costa Rica. Students can choose 10- or 20-lesson weekly group programs or private lessons. Spanish can also be combined with surfing or yoga. Our Family Spanish Program gives parents and children the opportunity to learn on the same campus, with a dedicated program for children. Program availability depends on level, dates and scheduling. New groups start on Mondays. A written placement test before arrival and an oral assessment on the first Monday help us place students at an appropriate level. Our curriculum follows a structured progression aligned with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), so students can build on their learning from week to week. Accommodation options include a homestay with a private room, breakfast, dinner and laundry, or our student residence for a more independent stay. Accommodation is subject to availability and booked separately. Nosara offers a relaxed setting for study, with beaches, surfing, yoga and opportunities to connect with fellow students and the local community. Whether you are starting from the beginning or building on existing Spanish, our goal is to help you leave with greater confidence and language you can use beyond the classroom.
